Jeanette died June 20, 2000 This was the Obituary from the Banner Press Lincoln -- Jeanette A. Koch, 58, of Lincoln, formerly of Oakland, Iowa, died June 20, 2000 at Eastmont Towers in Lincoln. She was born July 17, 1941, in Seward to Cyril and Agnes Urbanek. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in David City in 1958 and from Iowa Western Community College in 1984. She married Lonnie Koch September 3, 1960. She was a rural mail carrier in Oakland for 23 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Avoca, Iowa, and St. John's Catholic Church in Lincoln. She was also a member of the Tri-County Cyclers Bicycle Club, a volunteer emergency medial technician for the Oakland Rescue Unit, and a volunteer for the Matt Talbot Kitchen in Lincoln. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck and Anne of Terre Haute, Ind., Dr. Robert and Lisa of Lincoln, NE and Tom and May of Raymore, MO., one daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Dr. Dave Bryer of Billings, Mont., her Mother of Ulysses, four sisters and two brother-in-law, Mary Jane Mansour, Marcia Bohuslavsky of Brainard, Deb and Dick Arends and Judy and Lon Dyer, all of Lincoln, NE. Two Brother and one sister-in-law, Jerome Urbanek of Ulysses and Greg and Brenda Urbanek of Shelton; grandchildren, Bryce and Eric Koch, Adam and Kevin Koch, And Rachel and Brad Bryer; and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her father. A memorial Mass was held Saturday, June 24 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Avoca and a rosary was held at St. John's Catholic Church in Lincoln on Friday June 23. Officiants were Fathers Paul Monahan and Fred Reichel. Lector was Charles Koch. Honorary pallbearers were Lon Dyer, Jeff Bohuslavsky, Larry Lamphier, Dick Arends, Harold Hoffman, Terry Haines, Derrick Urbanek, and Olda Boubin. Memorial may be given to St. Elizabeth Heartland Hospice, 555 S. 70th, Lincoln, NE. 68510, or The Matt Talbot Kitchen, 1911 R St., Lincoln, NE 68503. Arrangements were made by Vieth Funeral Home of Oakland. |
